Messi denies offering to pay to get Ronaldinho out of jail

Lionel Messi has denied reports that he offered to pay £3.25million to help get his former Barcelona teammate Ronaldinho out of jail.

Ronaldinho was arrested and detained after he entered Paraguay with a fake passport.

The Brazilian who is being held alongside his brother is now likely to spend six months in jail.

It was reported that Messi had offered to help him get out of jail with the sum of £3.25million.

This has now been denied by Messi's advisers who said that the Argentine won't be assisting Ronaldinho even though he sympathizes with him.
