Chelsea are willing to meet with Manchester United next week in order to end the stalemate between the two clubs over Mason Mount.

This comes after the Blues once again turned down a third bid from United for the talented midfielder, who has refused to commit his future at Stamford Bridge.

United are said to have come up with another offer of £55m, which their Premier League rivals once again turned down.

This latest rejection has left the Red Devils frustrated by how the deal is going, and they are now willing to walk away from talks.

As reported on BBC, United feel Chelsea’s asking price of £58m plus another £7m in possible add-ons is ‘too expensive’ for a midfielder whose contract runs down in a year.

Their initial bids of £40m and £50m were also turned down by Chelsea.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the Mount situation, revealing that Chelsea were willing to meet with United’s representatives next week in order to find a solution to the Mount situation.

Part of the reason Chelsea are still holding out hope that United will budge in their pursuit of acquiring the midfielder is because Mount reportedly wants to move to Old Trafford, and is not committed to the Blues.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side also risk losing the player for much cheaper, and possibly for free, if they fail to seal a deal before the close of the summer transfer window.
