Al-Nassr stars, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane left Iran with gifts from their hosts, Persepolis following their AFC Champions League clash this week.

The arrival of the team sent Iran into a frenzy, with thousands of fans flooding the streets of Tehran to catch a glimpse of the Portuguese veteran and his teammates.

Ronaldo and Mane were pivotal as Al-Nassr strolled to a 2-0 victory in their opening group game, thanks to Mohammed Qassem and Abdulrahman Ghareeb.

In photos shared on social media, the president of Persepolis, Reza Darvish presented the Al-Nassr superstars with neatly woven Persian carpets as well as traditional boxed packages.

Ronaldo joined the Knights of Najd in January after leaving Manchester United following a fallout with the club, while Mane arrived in the summer transfer window from Bayern Munich.

Al-Nassr are on a good run of form after winning their last five matches, including four in the Saudi Pro League.

The Knights of Najd also won the Arab Club Champions Cup before the start of the new season after beating rivals, Al-Hilal in the final, as reported by CNN.
