Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has expressed his desire to replicate his impressive goal-scoring at the club side with the Super Eagles ahead of Nigeria's clash with Guinea-Bissau.

The 25-year-old who joined Atalanta on a permanent deal from RB Leipzig in August 2022 has been phenomenal for the Bergamo-based club.

The ex-Leicester City forward has managed 14 goals and 5 assists in 28 appearances across all competitions for Gian Piero Gasperini's side in his debut season.

Lookman is averaging a goal every 120 minutes this season, despite firing blanks in recent games.

Speaking ahead of the Super Eagles clash with the Djurtus, the UK-born star expressed his desire to bring his scoring form to help the Eagles overcome Guinea-Bissau.

“Looking forward to another big game for us in the qualification for the AFCON and is a big opportunity for us to get close to that.

“It is nice to score goals and I hope I take that to the team because it is important for the team winning and qualifying for AFCON,” he told the NFF TV.

Lookman has managed 1 goal in 4 caps for the Super Eagles.

His only goal came in Nigeria's 10-0 demolition of Sao Tome and Principe in June 2022.
