Ten players have arrived at the Super Eagles camp in Abuja ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau.

Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi and Leicester City duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi are among the first players to land in camp ahead of the crucial qualifiers.

Iwobi featured for Everton at the weekend as the Toffees fought back brilliantly to earn a 2-2 draw at Chelsea. Iheanacho and Ndidi were also involved as Leicester City forced Brwntford to a 1-1 draw.

Hoffenheim defender Kevin Akpoguma, Southampton midfielder Joe Aribo, and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman have also reported to camp.

Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and West Brom centre-back Semi Ajayi are among the first to land in Abuja from their bases in Cyprus and England, respectively.

Defender Daniel Bameyi and goalkeeper Chijioke Aniagboso, the two Flying Eagles stars invited by head coach Jose Peseiro, have also arrived in camp.

After winning their first two games against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe, Nigeria are Group A leaders with six points.
Guinea-Bissau boast four points and are sitting in second place.

The Super Eagles will host Guinea-Bissau in Abuja on March 24 before facing the same opponents three days later at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro in Bissau.

Victory for the Super Eagles in both games will see Nigeria book their qualification ticket to the next edition of the Afcon.
