Lionel makes huge Ronaldo confession, claims he is the best he has seen play

Lionel Messi has named Ronaldo as the best player he has ever seen play the game.

The Argentina World Cup winner is arguably the greatest of all time following his latest accomplishment with the national team.

Despite coming from a country blessed with several football icons, including the legendary Diego Maradona, Messi enjoyed watching Ronaldo play.

According to the Inter Miami star, Ronaldo Nazario da Lima remains at the top of his list of players.

"Ronaldo was a phenomenon. Of all the players I have seen play, he was the best. An impressive player from all aspects," he said in an old interview, as quoted by El Futbolero.

Messi and his Argentina teammates travel to Brazil to face the five-time world champions in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The two countries hope to return to the World Cup, especially with Argentina being the defending champions.

Brazil last won the World Cup in 2002, with Ronaldo emerging as the best player and Golden Boot winner, scoring twice in the final against Germany, as reported by FIFA.
