Lampard set to make Chelsea U-turn as interim boss

Ex-Chelsea manager and player, Frank Lampard is set to take over the club as interim coach.

According to reports, Chelsea are in advance talks with the club legend over a possible return to Stamford Bridge as a caretaker coach till the end of the season.

Lampard will return to the Chelsea dugout for the Premier League fixture against Wolves on Saturday, April 8 if talks go well.

The former Everton boss was at Stamford Bridge to watch Chelsea's goalless draw against Liverpool on Tuesday night.

Lampard, 44, who is Chelsea's record goal scorer was fired as Chelsea's boss in January 2021.

He was appointed as manager for Everton in January 2022 but was dismissed again after almost a year in charge at Goodison Park.
