Kwara United appoints Kabiru Dogo as new head coach

Kwara United have appointed Kabiru Dogo as the new head coach following the sacking of Mohammed Azeez.

Dogo’s appointment was confirmed on Saturday after Azeez threw in the towel following the 2-0 league defeat to Nasarawa United.

Azeez leaves the Harmony boys 8th on the Group A log with just one win all season, four defeats and two draws.

He was hired as interim after Abdullahi Biffo’s departure, but failed to guide the club to CAF Confederation Cup group phase.

Despite the disappointment, he was confirmed as permanent boss, but was given an ultimatum to save his job after a poor start to the 2022-2023 campaign.

Meanwhile, Dogo who also resigned from his role at Wikki Tourists few week ago is now expected to steady the ship.
