The father of Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Badri, has disclosed that his son has ambitions to play for Real Madrid.

Those comments emerged after Napoli were beaten 4-2 by the Spanish giants in the Champions League.

The Georgian had a breakthrough season in 2023/24 with Napoli. His impressive performances helped the club secure their first Serie A title in 33 years.

He formed a deadly partnership with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen and made Napoli the most entertaining team in Europe.

Last season, he scored 12 goals and provided 13 assists and was named in the team of the season alongside his teammates Osimhen, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, and defender Kim Min-Jae.

The 22-year-old has four goals and four assists in 12 games this season, per Transfermarkt.

Kvaratskhelia's father on Real Madrid
The father of the young winger reportedly said his son dreams of playing for Real Madrid.

“Khvicha always dreamed and still dreams of playing for Real Madrid. I am sure about it," via Fabrizio Romano.

“For Khvicha, playing vs Real Madrid was special. In my family everyone is a Real Madrid supporter, except me.”

Kvaratskhelia's p[possible move to Real Madrid is highly unlikely. He is a right-footer who normally plays on the left, which means he will have to compete for a spot with Vinicius Junior and even Rodrygo Goes.

Therefore, if he does get to Real Madrid, he could choose to play on the right, a position which could be up for grabs.

Moreover, Kylian Mbappe is widely expected to join Real Madrid, so imagine having to compete for a spot with arguably the best player in the world.

His partner in crime, Osimhen, could be a perfect fit for Madrid who have been without a top striker since the departure of Karim Benzema. The Nigerian has been linked with Real Madrid, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he moves to the Santiago Bernabeu.
