Popular football journalist Oma Akatugba has revealed that Victor Osimhen flew more than twenty family relatives to witness Napoli lift the Scudetto on the last day of the season.

Oma, a Nigerian sports journalist based in Naples, Italy made the disclosure as he described the mood in Naples as Napoli faced Sampdoria in the last game of the season as the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday, June 4.

"Victor Osimhen did something amazing and something I respect him more for. He invited over twenty people from Nigeria. Brothers, sisters, friends, his former coach. I mean when I talk about friends, these are people who truly know Victor Osimhen better than you and I."

"People who grew up with him in the trenches. People who grew up with him in the ghettos. People who were there for him through thick and thin."

Osimhen's 31 goals in all competitions for Napoli this season helped the Italian side win the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years.

The Nigerian is now one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe. United are eyeing the 24-year-old if they cannot land Tottenham star Harry Kane.
