Jamal Musiala's incredible response when ask to choose between Nigeria, Germany

Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala declined to choose between Nigeria and Germany when asked to pick one during an appearance on the popular show ‘How Hungry Are You’ by Chef Serge Ibaka.

Born in Germany to a Nigerian father and a German mother, Musiala moved to England with his family at the age of 7.


He represented England at the youth level before opting to play for Germany in 2021.

When pressed to choose between Nigeria and Germany, the 21-year-old midfielder respectfully declined, stating, “See, out of respect I can't answer that question, I love both.”

Musiala also expressed his interest in Nigerian culture and cuisine, despite never having visited Africa. He shared fond memories of his father making fufu, while growing up in England.

“My dad is from Nigeria, and he always tells me about the culture and everything about African foods,” Musiala remarked.

“My dad made fufu while I was growing up back in England; he made this dish [fufu] every other day.”

On the pitch, Musiala has been a standout performer for Bayern Munich this season, tallying 12 goals and 8 assists in 37 appearances across all competitions under manager Thomas Tuchel.
