Nigeria midfielder Alex Iwobi is currently ranked the best passer of the ball in the English topflight as a forward as per premierleague.com.

Iwobi produced a stellar performance on Saturday, October 22 as the Toffees beat Crystal Palace 3-0 at Goodison Park.

The 26-year-old provided 2 assists as Frank Lampard's side returned to winning ways after three successive defeats.

The former Arsenal man recorded 87 percent pass accuracy, a 100 percent tackle success rate, created 2 big chances which resulted in a goal and 4 recoveries to earn the Man-Of-The-Match award.

Iwobi was deployed as a number 6 at the beginning of the season by Frank Lampard but the stability in the Everton midfield in recent games has afforded the Super Eagle to advance into a more attacking position.

The Nigerian international has recorded 476 passes this season to beat Arsenal's duo of Bukayo Saka (352) and Gabriel Jesus (287) and Spur's Harry Kane (265) to the top spot.

Other Premier League players in the top ten are Newcastle’s Joelinton (381), Fulham’s Bobby De Cordova-Reid (362), Brighton’s Leandro Trossard (333), Roberto Firmino (324), Ivan Toney (267), Jadon Sancho (285) and Demarai Gray (265).

Alex Iwobi has been the best player at Goodison Park since Frank Lampard took over from Benitez last season.

He was key in their relegation survival last term with a string of decent performances in the latter part of last season.

Iwobi continued on the same impressive form for Everton this season as he has managed 5 assists plus 1 goal for the Toffees.
