It’s a privilege to play alongside Osimhen, Musa, Iwobi - Abraham

Super Eagles latest call-up, Abraham Marcus said he is happy to be joining the national team after he was surprisingly included in the 31-man team for June's friendly against Cameroon.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a break-out season with his Portuguese club CD Feirense after netting 11 goals and recorded two assists.

“Having a chance to play football is just a joy for me. My main focus is just to score goals. Any time I am on the pitch, I just try to do what the coach tells me so I can score,” he said.

Reacting to his invitation, The 21-year-old said he’s looking forward to playng along side big stars like Ahmed Musa, Victor Osimhen and others.

“It is a privilege to play with the big players in Nigeria like Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi, Peter Etebo, Victor Osimhen. I cannot wait to meet everyone,” he told ESPN.

Marcus joined Feirense from Nigerian club side Remo Stars and succeeded in breaking to the first team October 2020.

Since his debut against Estoril, Abraham Marcus has featured in 24 matxhes for his club this season winning seven man of the match awards.
