Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has expressed his disappointment at his team's failure to see out their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspurs on Sunday.

The Premier League champions shared the spoils with Spurs after a pulsating game of football ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Etihad Stadium.

Spurs took the lead in the 6th minute through their skipper Son Heung-Min before Man City responded swiftly after three minutes as Son scored an own goal to draw Pep Guardiola's side level.

Phil Foden later gave the home side the lead in the 31st minute before Giovanni Lo Celso equalized for Spurs.

Jack Grealish came off the bench to restore Man City's lead with nine minutes left to play as the champions thought they had won it this time, but Postecoglou's side pecked them back again with a late leveller from Dejan Kulusevski.

Speaking after the game, Pep Guardiola who was disappointed by his team's failure to see off the game said:

“Unfortunately, against Liverpool as well, this happens [City do not kill the game]. This was a moment where we get to see the team, how they react, how we step forward. It was a top performance again against a top, top team.

“Second half, Spurs stepped forward, a little higher up the pitch. But when you concede just three or four chances to them, of course, they have important absences but even with that, they get the result. But yeah, it is what it is.”
