'It is crazy' – Omeruo goes wild on NFF lines up temporary replacement for Peseiro

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has expressed his disappointment at the uncertainty that has surrounded the Super Eagles.

Omeruo in an interview on Arise TV described it as “crazy” and called for an “urgent fix.”

The Super Eagles currently with a head coach after the expiration of Jose Peseiro's contract.

The uncertainty surrounding the head coach position has been a topic of discussion over the past few months.

Rumors have also circulated about the NFF’s intentions to line up a temporary replacement for Peseiro, adding to the ambiguity surrounding the coaching staff.

Omeruo who has been a regular in the team emphasized the importance of stability within the team’s technical crew, stressing that it is vital for Nigeria to have a consistent and reliable coaching staff to achieve their potential.

“When it comes to talent, Nigeria have amazing players,” the Turkey-based centre-back said.

“Even those that are on the bench in the national team go to their club sides and bang in goals week in, week out.

“We need to have a stable technical crew. A technical crew will take us to where we are supposed to be and give us exactly [the guidance] that we get in Europe.

“We do not even know who will be the coach in the next game. It is crazy, and it has to be fixed.”
