Zaidu Sanusi was on parade for FC Porto in their Champions League clash with Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday.

The Super Eagles left back was solid at the back for the Portuguese Champions who recorded a comfortable a 3-0 away success at the Bay Arena.

Coach Sergio Conceicao rewarded the Nigerian with a place in the starting 11, following his impressive performance in the first meeting last week, where he came off the bench to score a goal.

Sanusi, however, justified the decision as he put in a great shift in Defense; pocketing French winger Amine Adli.

He also offered cover for his partners and lasted for 90 minutes, in what was his fourth appearance for the club in the competition this season.

Wenderson Gelano gave Porto an ideal start to the game when he scored inside the opening six minutes.

Porto sealed the win with two second half penalties from Iranian 30-year-old forward Mehdi Taremi.

With the three points FC Porto increased their points tally to six, and move to second position on the table.

They are four points adrift of Club Brugge, who already secured passage to the next round, two and three points above Atletico Madrid and Leverkusen respectively.
