Heartland got the better of MFM as they beat their visitors by 2-0 in Sunday's Nigerian Professional League tie.

This is the second time the Olukoya Boys are losing to the Naze Millionaires in the league.

Heartland FC got their nose in front inside the opening sixth minute when Chidera Ezeh scored from close range, Brila.net said.

Chidera Ezeh’s strike separated both sides at the end first half 45 minutes.

The game took a dramatic turn in the second half as MFM FC player Adeniyi Bamidele was given his marching order in the 75th minute.

Heartland’s numerical advantage lasted for two minutes when goalscorer Chidera Ezeh was shown a straight red by the referee.

Kingsley Maduforo finally sealed the maximum points for Fidelis Ilechukwu with a winning strike in the 96th minute after good work by Akuneto.

The three however moved Heartland FC to 10th position with 41 points, while MFM FC stuck at 12th with 39 points.

The Olukoya Boys will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they host Kano Pillars at the Agege Stadium on Wednesday.
