Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has maintained his glittering form at his new Turkish club, Bursaspor, this season.
The 29-year-old was on the scoresheet again as his side played out a 2-2 draw with Erokspor in the Turkish first division on Sunday, September 13.
The former Leicester City forward scored the opener in the 16th minute for the home side.
That goal was Iheanacho’s seventh consecutive goal for Bursaspor and his ninth goal in seven matches for the club.
Iheanacho joined the Turkish second-tier club as a free agent in the summer following the expiration of his contract with Celtic at the end of last season.
His remarkable form has raised questions over his call-up to the national team for the upcoming AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau, especially following the injury to Victor Osimhen, which has ruled the Galatasaray striker out of the two qualifiers.
However, others have questioned the quality and competitiveness of the Turkish second division.
