Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho has been named in the Premier League team of the week for matchday 22.

The Nigerian forward was impressive in the Foxes' 4-2 win away at Aston Villa on Saturday, February 4.

Brendan Rodger's side came from behind to beat Unai Emery's men at Villa Park move four points above the relegation zone.

The ex-Manchester City forward who was handed a rare start in the game made the most of the opportunity by finding the back of the net and providing two assists.

He scored his side's second goal in the 41st minute to level the score at 2-2 before the Foxes added two more goals courtesy of Tete and Dennis Praet.

Selecting his team of the week, Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer picked the 26-year-old who impressed on his first Premier League start since September alongside Spur's Harry Kane and Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo in a 3-4-3 formation.

Shearer picked Keylor Navas in the post after he impressed for the Reds on his debut after arriving from the French capital.

Brentford’s Benjamin Mee, Fulham’s Timothy Ream and James Tarkowski make up the back three.

Spurs' Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, West Ham’s Declan Rice, Wolves’ Ruben Neves and Everton’s Amadou Onana completed the puzzle in midfield.

Iheanacho has managed 4 goals and 3 assists in 21 appearances for Leicester City this term.

He will look to replicate the same performance when Leicester welcomes Tottenham Hotspurs to the King Power Stadium on Saturday, February 11.
