Iheanacho, Ndidi help Leicester City win Group G in Europa League

Super Eagles stars, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi Thursday helped their club side, Leicester City to victory over AEK Athens at the King Power Stadium in the Europa League.

The duo started the match against the Greek side but were replaced in the second half as Leicester went on to secure a 2 – 0 victory.

Iheanacho could not add to his three-goal tally in the competition before being replaced by Ayoze Perez in the 69th minute, Brila.net reported.

Ndidi on his part, lasted three minutes more on the pitch than his compatriot, before making way for French midfielder Nampalys Mendy.

It was the third straight game for Ndidi, who recently returned from a two-month lay off after undergoing abductor surgery back in September, according to Brila.net.

Meanwhile, Harvey Barnes and Cengiz Under scored both goals for the Foxes within the opening 20 minutes of the encounter.

Leicester City finished top of Group G with 13 points, same as second place SC Braga.
