Ighalo opens up on how he feels joining Manchester United

Odion Ighalo has stated that joining Manchester United in a deal that got concluded on transfer deadline day is a dream come true.

The former Super Eagles player joined United from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua on loan as cover for injured Marcus Rashford.

Speaking about the move, Ighalo thanked God, his agent and coach for allowing him player for United.

“I want to say I am happy to be in Manchester first. It is an excellent opportunity for me.

“I am grateful to God and my agent and to the coach who gave me this opportunity to be here.

“I am happy to work hard with the team and finish very well this season.”

Ighalo added: “It is a dream come true. Since I was a kid, I have always dreamed about Manchester United and all that.

“This is a reality now. I can’t even say much until I get started.”

“Today is to chill because I traveled very long from Shanghai to Manchester.

“Today is just rest, and tomorrow we start to work.”
