I will win a trophy for Tottenham - Mourinho

Tottenham manager, Jose Mourinho has said that he will help the club win a trophy.

He stated this ahead of their Champions League game against Rb Leipzig who won the first leg 1-0.

Despite preparations, the club just got hit with another injury blow as new signing Steven Bergwijn is ruled out of the season over an ankle injury.

However, Mourinho who has won trophies for every club he's managed believes he won't leave Tottenham without a Trophy.

“I believe Tottenham is not going to be my only club without silverware,” he declared. “I won it at every club and I believe I am going to do it also with Tottenham.

“So far I am here for three or four months. I got the team in very difficult situation and now even it is more difficult.

“But I believe in me, in the players, in the club and I believe that during my contract I will help the club to do it.”

The Portuguese who won trophies at Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and Manchester United, however, believes it would be difficult taking Tottenham to the Champions League next season.

“We have a very small group of players giving everything they can,” he said.

“But each day I read, 'To Dare is to Do' because it’s written everywhere at Spurs and of course it is. I feel connection with that.

“And tomorrow is a time to give absolutely everything. We win or we leave everything we have on that pitch", he said.
