Sunday Oliseh Sunday Oliseh

Former Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh has expressed his readiness to return as head coach of the national team if certain conditions are met.

The former Nigerian defensive midfielder coached the Super Eagles for a short spell between July 2015 to February 2016.

The former Borussia Dortmund star clashed with some senior players of the national team leading to his resignation after just 8 months in charge.

With the Nigeria Football Federation declaring the Super Eagles coaching role as vacant after parting company with Portuguese gaffer Jose Peseiro, Sunday Oliseh's has come up as one of the preferred candidates to take up the vacant role.

Speaking on Channels television on a possible return to the Super Eagles as head coach, the 49-year-old said:

“Right now, what I can say is that I am going to put my wildcard on this question.

“As I have also often said, if Nigeria needs my services, I will always help my country if the right conditions are met.
