I will not watch NPFL if there is a Premier League match - Okocha

Super Eagles legend Jay-Jay Okocha has said he will never watch the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) if there's a Premier League match.

Okocha claims his preferred choice of the EPL over the NPFL is informed by the attractive nature of both leagues.

The former Bolton Wanderers captain believes the organisers of the local league need to do a lot more to improve the quality of the local league.

Okocha made this disclosure on his English Premier League Trophy Tour in Nairobi, Kenya.

“I don’t think I’d watch the Nigerian league if there is a Premier League match on the television, that is if I am being honest…because the Premier League is more attractive,

"We need to go back to the drawing board and give ourselves time and put something together that will make our leagues attractive."
