I'm happy for him – Partey tells Jorginho despite losing place to the Italian

Arsenal midfielder, Thomas Partey says he is happy for his new teammate, Jorginho despite losing his place in the team to the Italian.

The Ghanaian international has seen a deep in his form as Arsenal play catch-up to Manchester City who are ahead in the league log.

According to Partey, Jorginho is the best player in training and deserves the nod after being the standout performer.

Partey who has played an important role for the Gunners all season was on the bench for the games against Chelsea and Newcastle, which Arsenal won comfortably with Jorginho in control of the midfield.

Partey may remain on the bench for the visit of Brighton on Sunday, but whatever the case, the Ghana international is pleased for his teammate.

“For me, it is something that always happens. I have always had competition, which is good for me. I enjoy it,” Partey told the Evening Standard.

“I am really happy for him [Jorginho] because for a couple of weeks, he was the best at training and then at the end, you see that in the game.

“I am really happy for him.”
