Napoli Starman, Victor Osimhen demonstrated his love and maturity even at a very young age after signing his first professional contract with Bundesliga outfit, Wolfsburg in January 2017.

Following his brilliant campaign at the U-17 FIFA World Cup in Chile back in 2015, Osimhen became one of the most sought-after young talents in the World with clubs in the European top five leagues chasing after his signature.

The Lagos-born striker netted 10 goals to help Nigeria win the tournament, an incredible feat that attracted interest from Wolfsburg and Arsenal.

The Bundesliga outfit eventually beat the Gunners to the signature of the prolific young striker after agreeing to a pre-contract in 2016 before Osimhen eventually put pen to paper in January 2017.

Recounting the experience after penning his first professional contract, Osimhen disclosed that he used the signing-on bonus to take care of certain needs by his relatives while overlooking his personal needs.

The Super Eagles striker explained that it makes him happy seeing everyone in his family happy and okay.

“When I signed in Wolfsburg, I didn't buy anything for myself with my bonus, I immediately bought a house in Lagos for my father. I gave money to my brothers and sisters, and today, everyone is okay in their businesses.

“It makes me happy to know that they have enough to eat. They always help me and it is normal I want to change their lives."

Osimhen's time in Germany didn't go as planned as he failed to register a goal for the Bundesliga side.

He however flourished on his loan deal with Belgian club Charleroi - a move which was later made permanent after a successful first season.

Osimhen's impressive goalscoring form earned him a move to French club Lille in 2019 before his big-money move to Napoli a season later.
