'I can relate to this feeling of joy' - Mikel Obi reacts after kidnappers release Luiz Diaz's father

Former Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi has reacted to the news of the release of Luiz Diaz's father on Thursday, November 9.

The Liverpool striker's parents were abducted in Colombia 12 days ago, but his mother was freed after a short time.

The news of the release of Diaz’s father came in just a couple of hours before Liverpool’s Europa League clash against Toulouse in France.

Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp said the forward was really happy to receive the good news.

Meanwhile, former Super Eagles midfielder, John Mikel Obi, who had a similar experience during the 2018 FIFA World Cup joined the Liverpool star to celebrate the release of his dad.

Taking to his Instagram, the 35-year-old wrote: Glad your dad has been released I can relate to this feeling of Joy @luisdiaz19_
