Super Eagles and Al Hilal striker Odion Ighalo has stated that he is not intimidated by Cristiano Ronaldo's presence in the Saudi Professional League.

The 37-year-old Portuguese international joined the Saudi-based Al Nassr in a deal worth €200m per year with commercial benefits following his fallout with former club Manchester United.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner made his debut in the Saudi All-Stars friendly against Paris Saint-Germain in a game that ended in a nine-goal thriller with Ronaldo grabbing a debut hat trick.

Despite acknowledging Ronaldo as the most prolific striker in football and the greatest of all time, the 33-year-old Nigerian striker insists that he is not perturbed by Ronaldo's presence in the Saudi league.

“Ronaldo is a legend; he is the best. For me, he is the GOAT. I've too much respect and admiration for him, Ighalo told Nigerian journalist, Oma Akatugba in an exclusive interview.

“He is going to play in his own team, and I will play in my team, and I am going to score goals.”

“I wish him all the best, but I will do my own job and we will see how it goes.”

Ighalo was the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League last season as he helped Al Hilal to win the league title.
