Arise TV journalist, Rufai Oseni has expressed his delight following the sacking of Graham Potter as manager of Chelsea Football Club.

Speaking on what he described as “vain glory” during the Newspaper review on Monday morning, Rufai, who is a Chelsea fan hailed Chelsea owner Todd Boehly for taking the shame off the club.

The outspoken TV presenter urged the Blues hierarchy to bring in a more competent manager to lead the team.

“I am sorry for doing vain glory, it is the fact that Graham Potter has been sacked. I am very happy about that this morning, Rufai said.

“I have become a long-suffering Chelsea fan. How do you explain for a person that is known to be finishing in the top four now be languishing in 10th position with Aston Villa beating you 2-0 over the weekend at Stamford Bridge? That's the height of humiliation and suffering.

“So, I'm happy Todd Boehly has taken the humiliation and shame off us Chelsea fans.It behoves on them to find a new sound coach because you can't spend over six-hundred million pounds on players and be suffering.”

Chelsea announced the sacking of the former Brighton and Hove Albion manager on Sunday night after six months in charge.

Potter had the lowest points-per-game ratio of any Chelsea manager. The Englishman lost 11 games out of 31 matches at Chelsea.
