Europe's most prestigious club competition has reached its midway point in the group phase. For some clubs, it is business as usual while others are struggling to find their feet.

In this piece, we examine how three Super Eagles stars fared in last night's round of matches.

Calvin Bassey - Ajax

It was a disappointing night for Ajax and Nigeria's most expensive defender, Calvin Bassey.

The Eredivisie champions were hammered at home by an 'Osimhenless' Napoli by 6-1.

Ghana's Kudus Muhammed gave the home side an early lead in the 9th minute, but the visitors who were without their talisman Victor Osimhen responded swiftly putting 6 goals past Calvin Bassey's defence.

Ajax, who began their UCL campaign on a blistering note after hammering Glasgow Rangers in their group opener has lost their last two games to Liverpool and Napoli.

Calvin Bassey had a 5.0 rating after the game.

Zaidu Sanusi- FC Porto

The Nigerian defender was on target as FC Porto recorded their first CL win of the season over Bayern Leverkusen.

The 25-year-old left-back gave his side the lead in the 69th minute before Wenderson Galeno sealed the victory with a late strike at the Estadio do Dragao.

The Portuguese champions had lost their first two matches against Club Brugge and Athletico Madrid.

The win moves Porto to second place in Group B with a better goal difference.

Sanusi had a 7.8 rating for his performance.

Rafael Onyedika

In the same Group B, Raphael Onyedika was in action for Club Brugge as they defeated Spanish giants Athletico Madrid 2-0 at home.

One goal each from Ghanaian international Kamal Sowah and former Barcelona forward Ferran Jutgla helped the Belgium Pro League side to a historic win.

Onyedika had a 7.7 rating after the game.

Club Brugge now sit on top of Group B with 9 points.
