How AFCON will affect each Premier League team with Salah, Onana set to miss games

24 teams confirmed their places at the rescheduled 2023 Africa Cup of Nations set to take place in Ivory Coast next year.

The competition will take place between January 13 and February 11, posing a big challenge to the top European Leagues, who have African players as their leading stars.

Napoli is set to be one of the most affected clubs in Europe, with Victor Osimhen set to lead the Super Eagles charge. Osimhen was key to the Partenopei's title charge last season. Rudi Garcia will also have to do without his midfield lynchpin Zambo Frank Anguissa, who is set to be called up by Cameroon.

English Premier League clubs will also suffer the same fate. Erik ten Hag will have to do without new first-choice goalkeeper Andre Onana, whose reconciliation with Cameroon's Head Coach Rigobert Song will see him stand in between the sticks as the Indomitable Lions chase a sixth title.

Jurgen Klopp used to suffer back in the days when Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane would leave, but since the latter is no longer at the club, the German will have to figure out a way of remaining competitive without his Egyptian marksman.
