'He was a disaster ' - Balotelli names worst coach he has played under

Former Manchester City and Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli has branded Brendan Rodgers as the worst coach he has worked with.

The 33-year-old also described the former Leicester City coach as a "disaster".

Balotelli played under Rodgers after joining Liverpool from AC Milan in 2014 for a reported fee of £16m.

The former Italy striker struggled to find his feet on his return to the EPL following his heroics with Manchester City.

He managed just a goal in 16 Premier League outings. He also scored just 4 goals in 18 matches for the Reds before joining Lille.

Balotelli and Rodgers began to engage in public feud after he left the club.

Speaking in an interview TVPlay, the ex-Milan striker said:

“Brendan Rodgers is the worst coach I have ever had.

“He was number one as far as training sessions were concerned, what with keeping possession of the ball and the small-sided games. But as a person he was a disaster.”
