Italian striker, Mario Balotelli has called out striker Victor Osimhen for opting not to take the penalty kick following the controversial video released on the official Tiktok account of the club.

Despite being part of the goal scorers, Osimhen left his penalty duty against Udinese in the Italian Serie A on Wednesday, September 27.

Napoli defeated their rivals 4-1.

Speaking in an interview on TV Play following the controversy and Osimhen's decision, Balotelli said "he(Osimhen) should have taken the kicked and not Zielinski.”

“Osimhen is a friend of mine, I greet him. But in the penalty miss against Udinese(Calcio), he disappointed me a bit. He should have kicked and not Zielinski,” he said.

The former Liverpool striker went further to speak on the TikTok video posted by Napoli on their official account, and Osimhen's decision not to celebrate his goal against Udinese.

“That video is meaningless. Victor has a personality, there’s no denying that. The goal he scores is complicated, don’t think it’s easy. Didn’t he rejoice? He did well, he copies me,” he concluded..
