'He is a team player, a driver and great finisher!' — Former Lazio goalkeepers Ballotta extols Osimhen

Former Italian goalkeeper Marco Ballotta has revealed his admiration for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

The 23-year-old's blistering form this season has caught the eye of many including the ex-Lazio shot-stopper.

Osimhen has netted 10 goals for the Partenopeans in the Serie A (9) and the UEFA Champions League (1) in fourteen appearances this season.

The Super Eagle is currently the top scorer in the Italian league despite missing weeks of action due to injury.

Ballotta believes Osimhen can marshall Luciano Spalletti's troops to land their first Scudetto title in over 20 years with the qualities he possesses.

“You can feel it when Osimhen is missing, the 58-year-old said.

“I really admire Osimhen’s determination, his desire to win, he never stops at nothing, I say he’s a team player, a driver, with the attitude he has, he’s good for everyone. And he is a great finisher.”

Napoli will resume their Serie A title chase campaign when they take on Inter after the World Cup break on January 4.
