Harry Kane gives Manchester United hope on signing him

Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane has given Manchester United the hope of signing him with a recent comment he made which hints at a future away from London.

Recall that shortly after signing a new deal with Tottenham in December 2016, Harry Kane said: “We’ve got a great young team, new training ground, new stadium being built, great young manager.

"We’ve got everything in place to be one of the top clubs in Europe.

“That’s the aim, that’s my goal and I’m sure it is the club’s too.

"The future is very bright. It’s important that we keep hold of all our players and keep building on this great team that we have."

But he added a crucial side note, stating: “For us, now it’s to start winning trophies and competitions - that’s the next step.”

With manager Mauricio Pochettinho gone and players like Kyle Walker, Christian Eriksen and Kieran Trippier, things appear to go worse for the club as Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld set to exit as well.

The club which missed out on winning the UEFA Champions League last season now looks likely to miss out on the competition next season.

Harry Kane has now expressed disappointment at the rate at which the club is progressing.

"I've got another 10 years to play, hopefully a lot to give, hopefully, a few trophies as well.

"If I don't feel we're progressing as a team or going in the right direction I'm not one to stay there for the sake of it.

"I'm ambitious and want to improve and be a top, top player. It's not a definite I'm going to stay here forever but it's not a no either."
