Manchester City ace, Erling Haaland has reacted to the viral memes of himself that have been doing the rounds on social media, with thousands of fans poking fun at him.

The striker tends to be the talk of social media for his prowess in front of the goal, but things were a bit different after the game against Tottenham Hotspur on December 3.

Haaland cut an irate figure during the Premier League clash involving Man City and Spurs, which ended in controversial fashion and saw the defending champions draw 3-3.

Things could have gone much differently had match referee, Simon Hooper played advantage for City in the dying moments as Jack Grealish was through on goal.

The official instead blew the whistle for a foul on Haaland, effectively ending the attack and leaving the striker and other Man City players incensed by the decision.

The Norwegian was booked for his protests, but that was not the end of the drama as he stormed off the field and bumped into a player after the full-time whistle.

As reported by the BBC, Haaland later shared his feelings on social media, posting footage of the incident alongside an explicit caption.

Hooper’s controversial decision might have been the initial talking point after the game but that changed on December 4 as cheeky online users saw the funny side to Haaland’s antics.

Memes of the striker have since taken social media by storm and the former Borussia Dortmund marksman could not help but get tickled by some of the creative images on the net.

One particular image showed Haaland with his face creased in anger, cleverly photoshopped into the famous painting by the Norwegian artist, Edvard Munch - The Scream.
