Guardiola tells Nigerian journalist his plans for next seasons Champions League

Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola has said his side will be competing for the Champions League trophy next season despite being the defending champions.

City were crowned champions of Europe after defeating Inter Milan by a lone goal on June 10.

Responding to a question by Nigerian sports journalist Omar Akatugba, Pep said it was such a relief that City finally clinched the trophy after so many years of trying but said the hunt for a second will continue.

"I mean it is a relief for us at the club. The trophy is a difficult trophy to win but of cos, it is a relief but it is not enough otherwise everybody will be at home. Myself, the players and the manager because we have done it. We are here, hungry enough to compete, especially to challenge ourselves, to prove ourselves," Guardiola said in a short video.
