Guardiola tells Messi to end Barcelona feud, sign new contract

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has pleaded with Lionel Messi to sign a new contract with Barcelona.

Messi has suspended contract renewal talks with Barcelona and is reported to be displeased over the poor quality in the club's squad.

He's also angry at media report blaming him for the sack of former manager Ernesto Valverde.

Guardiola who managed Messi during his time at Barcelona is expected to find the situation as an opportunity to lure the Argentine to City.

However, he hopes that the disagreement Messi has with the club is settled and that he remains with them.

Guardiola said:” I am not going to speak until the end of the season about transfers.

“But my wish is Messi is going to stay at Barcelona.”
