Good news for Chelsea fans as club seals pre-contract talks with Osimhen; Drogba and Mikel play key role

Napoli talisman Victor Osimhen has agreed to a move to Chelsea in the summer, according to widespread reports.

TEAMtalk reports that the 25-year-old will not join the Blues this January but is willing to sign a pre-contract agreement with the London club to join the club in the summer.

The Super Eagles has a release clause of around the region of £112m following his recent contract extension with Napoli.

The report further stated that Chelsea legends, Mikel Obi and Didier Drogba have been instrumental in playing a key role in the potential move by convincing the recently crowned African Player of the Year to join Mauricio Pochettino's side.

Chelsea wants to bolster their attacking options and Osimhen's name has always been on the radar.

The Blues are also keen on Ivan Toney but his age and asking price appear to be a stumbling block to any potential move.

Osimhen is likely to become one of the highest-paid players at Chelsea when the move happens.
