Good news for Chelsea, Arsenal, PSG as Napoli make crucial Osimhen decision

Victor Osimhen has been at the centre of transfer speculations for the past two transfer windows with reports linking the Nigerian striker to some of the elite clubs in Europe.

Top European clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have all reportedly been linked with a move for the 25-year-old.

Manchester United reportedly prepared a €110m bid for the Super Eagles star in January.

London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal are also reportedly preparing an initial bid of €90m to test Napoli's resolve.

In the latest development as per Italian publication Il Mattino, Napoli is considering reducing their asking price of €130m for the reigning African Player of the Year.

This comes as good news for Osimhen's suitors who could secure the services of the former Lille striker for a fee less than his release clause.

“The Blues are interested in Napoli star Osimhen and according to Il Mattino they are ready to place a €90m bid at the end of the season,” Football Italia wrote.

“Arsenal and PSG are also interested in the Nigeria international and are willing to match the Blues’ offer. According to Il Mattino, Napoli could sell Osimhen for less than his release clause in the region of €130m.”

Despite enduring a season marred by injuries, Osimhen has notched 11 goals and 3 assists in 17 appearances league appearances for the Serie A champions.
