Asisat Oshoala has vowed to continue helping her Barcelona teammates, after another scintillating performance.

Oshoala netted a brace and created another goal as Barcelona trashed Benfica 9-0 in the UEFA Women’s Champions League game on Wednesday, October 19.

The Nigeria international was voted player of the match on the night Barcelona Femeni recorded their biggest European win.

“We have to send a message to all the teams that we will be going all-out this season as always,” Oshoala told Uefa TV.

“Personally, the goals are not the most important thing but [how] the team play and how I try to help the team.”

Oshoala spent four months on the sideline last season, and still managed to score 20 league goals for the Culés last season and was placed 16th of the top 20 players shortlisted for the women’s Ballon d’Or.

The striker is delighted to be back to her best, adding that she’s always ready to help the team.

“I had my first 90 minutes of football [of the season].

“I think I put in more effort to help my team-mates, to get better, to try and play some good football and entertain the people. And of course, I got two goals so I’m happy,” She concluded.
