Give Osimhen time to rediscover form - Mazzarri begs Napoli fans

Napoli manager, Walter Mazzarri has urged the fans to be patient with Victor Osimhen as the striker strives to rediscover his form.

Osimhen is yet to rediscover his form following a six-week injury hiatus.

He has also failed to score in the last games against Atalanta, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan.

With the 24-year-old forward yet to start the clash against Juventus on Friday, Mazzarri has expressed confidence that the striker will regain his scoring prowess with time.

“Osimhen needs time to find his best form, also in terms of physical conformation,” the gaffer was quoted by the club’s official website.

“But it’s clear that even if he wasn’t at one hundred percent, he can still give me great guarantees for the strength he knows how to express, even for portions of matches like has done so far after returning," he said.

Despite his recent drought, Osimhen still leads Napoli’s league scorers chart with six goals this season.
