Ghana's Gyan surprised with 'Nigerian flag' birthday cake on Super Sports

Ghana's legendary striker Asamoah Gyan got a pleasant birthday surprise as he turned 37 on Tuesday, November 22.

The former Sunderland striker who was serving as a pundit on Super Sports coverage of World Cup games was presented with a white and green cake on live TV during the analysis of the games.

Gyan after receiving the cake described the gesture as a good surprise, however, he humorously pointed out that his problem was the Nigerian flag.

“That was a good surprise”, Gyan said “My problem is the Nigerian flag”, he added.

Gyan is Africa's top scorer at the FIFA World Cup with 6 goals for the Black Stars of Ghana on the biggest football stage.

He is also Ghana's all-time top scorer with 51 international goals.
