A scathing video showing a fan of Saudi Pro League club, Al-Nassr, ranting about Cristiano Ronaldo has gone viral online.

The Portuguese star hit a new low as his side suffered a painful exit from the AFC Champions League on Monday, March 11.

Ronaldo was the only player out of the four penalty takers from his team to score his spot kick as his side crashed out of the competition, while Al Ain advanced to the last four for the first time since 2016, according to ESPN.

Ronaldo misses sitter in AFC CL

On a personal level, Ronaldo will be happy to have added another goal to his impressive tally as he struck from the penalty spot with two minutes remaining.

But the 39-year-old was also guilty of missing a gilt-edged chance as the ball fell to his feet just a few yards from goal. With the Al Ain goalkeeper bearing down on him, the former Real Madrid star somehow directed his shot wide, to the disbelief of fans in the stadium.

That chance, which is now being dubbed a potential miss of the season, was a major talking point after the game, and particularly among Al-Nassr fans.

Al-Nassr fan slams Ronaldo

A video shared by @_74kk on Tiktok gave perspective on what sections of fans thought of Ronaldo.

One fan was thoroughly critical of the big names within the squad, and in particular the five-time Ballon d’Or award winner.

"All these big names: Telles, Ronaldo or whoever get out," the fan said, as translated by @FCBAlbeceleste.

He added: "He keeps screaming and doing the [Siuuu] but during the game, he’s a ghost. Today we had six huge chances and who wasted them?"

Has Ronaldo won a trophy at A Nassr?

Ronaldo has won just one trophy at Al-Nassr since joining the club in December 2022. That was the Arab Club Champions Cup.

His wait for another piece of silverware is set to continue as the Knights of Najd are a massive 10 points behind leaders, Al-Hilal.
