Gerrard "really interested" in seeing Man City stripped of 2014 title, Liverpool awarded trophy

Liverpool legend and former England international, Steven Gerrard has stated that he's "really interested" in seeing if Manchester City will face action from the English Premier League which could see the club lose the title it won in 2014.

This is in reaction to the UEFA ban placed on Manchester City after the club breached Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules.

The ban sees Manchester City get punished with a two-year suspension from European competitions.

If a Premier League investigation is also carried out, points could be deducted from the club's achievement in 2014 which could see the club lose the title it won that season.

“We will see whether the Premier League acts from there. But if you look at the severity of the punishment from UEFA, something has gone badly wrong.

“So I’m really interested to see the outcome of that. Until I get the punishment from the Premier League, I won’t comment further. But I’m really, really interested in it…for obvious reasons,” Gerrard told reporters on Sunday.
