Ex-Super Eagles international Victor Ikpeba has criticized Chelsea manager Graham Potter for his team selection.

The 49-year-old is quite displeased with Graham Potter's decision to deploy Kai Harvetz as a false 9 ahead of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.

The former AS Monaco forward disclosed this after Chelsea's goalless draw against Fulham in their last Premier League encounter at Stamford Bridge on Friday, February 3.

Former Arsenal captain, Aubameyang has barely had a sniff of game time since joining the Blues from FC Barcelona last summer.

The former Gabonese international has featured in 10 Premier League appearances this season, coming off the bench in 4 of those appearances with 1 goal.

Speaking on Super Sport's Monday Night Football, the former striker who was capped 31 times for the Super Eagles lambasted the Chelsea boss for not giving Auba playing time.

“I have my doubts, I have worries. A team that has Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang I don’t understand why he does not play,” the 49-year-old said as cited by Daily Post.

“Kai Havertz, with due respect to him, isn’t a striker. He can play from the wings.”

“There is a lot of confusion going around at the club. I think things have been bad. I don’t know how Chelsea will go on a run of wins from the problems that they’re on right now.” he concluded.

Meanwhile, Aubameyang has been linked with a move to Los Angeles Football Club in Major League Soccer.
