Chelsea are reportedly interested in the signing of wantaway Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun.

The youngster is staring at an uncertain future at the Emirates Stadium, and has widely been linked with a possible permanent exit this summer.

Balogun has not featured for the Gunners in their two opening games of the new Premier League season against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace.

According to Sportbible, Mikel Arteta is willing to part ways with the 21-year-old forward, who is still injured after he picked up during the club's pre-season tour of the United States.

However, he has since hinted on a possible return to action after he posted a picture of him in training on Instagram.

Reports claim Chelsea have held talks with Balogun's representatives over a potential summer transfer to Stamford Bridge.

talkSPORT reports that a £40 million asking price has been set by Arsenal for the United States international.

It is understood that should the Blues stump up the fee, they have a 'secret weapon' that could help them secure the services of the youngster.

The west Londoners have been active in the ongoing transfer window, having already signed a string of players.

They recently splashed out a British record transfer fee of £115 million to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton.
