Flying Eagles midfielder, Afeez Aremu joins German side

Flying Eagles midfield maestro, Afeez Aremu has joined German 2nd division club, St. Pauli.

The former Akwa United midfielder who has been in fine form in the previous season will quit another German club, Norwegian side IK from Monday.

According to Brila.net, Aremu's contract runs until 2023.

20-year-old Afeez who will wear jersey number 14 for the club next season, said in a short video posted on social media that he can’t wait to get started with the club.

“I’m excited to be starting a new adventure with St Pauli, I’m happy to be here and I can’t wait to get on the pitch with my new teammates.” He said.

Afeez was part of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles squad to the African youth championship in 2019, but he narrowly missed on the team to the FIFA U20 world in the same year.
