Former Super Eagles winger Finidi George who is now a coach on Sunday, 12 March, led Enyimba to victory in the final of the 2023 Abia State FA Cup beating Ahudiya 4-1.

En-route to the final, Ahudiya defeated Abia Warriors in the semi-final and fans were expecting if there would be another upset from them against Enyimba.

Despite the fact that they are non League side, Finidi paraded his first team players against them and it paid off netting four goals.

According to the report on Naija Footballer, Ahudiya players proved their worth in the first 30 minutes, and it was few minutes to the end of the first half that Enyimba started gaining the momentum.

Moses Omoduemuke scored a brace, while Emeka Obioma and Ikenna Cooper scored a goal each for the Aba Elephants.

As it stands now, Enyimba and Ahudiya will represent Abia State in the Federation Cup. Sports Brief however spoke to Enyimba assistant coach, Olarenwaju Yemi, who expressed happiness over their victory.

Statement made by Yemi ''Those guys really played well and I am happy that they really made it that far which is a good one for their identity. ''At Enyimba, we have a target which is to win all the competitions we are participating."
