Mauricio Pochettino is staring at an uncertain future with Chelsea, barely weeks after he was appointed the club's boss.

The Argentine landed the lucrative role in the summer to become the permanent replacement for Graham Potter, who was sacked back in February.

However, the former Tottenham Hotspur boss has endured a difficult start to life at Stamford Bridge following the Blues' disastrous run of form.

The 2021 Champions League winners have tasted victory only once so far this season in six Premier League outings, with the win coming against newly promoted side Luton Town.

To put Chelsea's woeful run into more perspective, they have failed to score in three of their most recent matches, with their most recent ending in a 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge over the weekend.

Evening Standard reports that Ollie Watkins's solitary goal scored in the second half was the only difference in the tie as Chelsea recorded yet another dismal performance.

When Pochettino could be sacked

The result left Pochettino under immense pressure, just six games into his tenure as Chelsea boss.

So much so that curious fans contend they have worked out the exact date the former Southampton manager could be handed his marching orders at Stamford Bridge.

According to Sportbible, the Blues are in line for a tough fixture schedule in the coming weeks that will see them play London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Reigning champions Man City, Newcastle United, Brighton, and Manchester United are some of the other teams they are set to play in the next months.

The tough fixture run has seen fans speculate Poch could get the sack, with many contending he may not go beyond December 6, when they will play Man United.
